Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- General Universities: PhD in any discipline with a strong academic record. For Law, the relevant terminal qualification would be LLM or JD.
- Engineering Universities: PhD in an engineering field with a basic degree in B.Sc Engineering.
- Agriculture Universities: PhD in an agriculture field.
- Veterinary and Animal Sciences Universities: PhD in veterinary animal sciences.
- Technology Universities: PhD in a technology field.
Additional Requirements:
- At least 15 years of teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institution, or professional experience in a national or international organization.
- Excellent research publication record meeting the criteria for appointment as a professor, with at least fifteen peer-reviewed and HEC-recognized research publications.
- Minimum of 5 years of administrative or postdoctoral research experience in higher education.
- Execution of at least one major research project.
- Experience with international bodies or participation in international workshops, seminars, or conferences.
- Experience organizing workshops, seminars, or conferences at the international level.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
Desirable Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
The Academic Search Committee may also consider desirable experience and skills as outlined in Part B & C of Schedule-II of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012.

- Only female professionals will be considered for the position of Vice-Chancellor at Women University, Swabi.
Procedure:
- The Academic Search Committee will shortlist eligible candidates.
- The Committee has the mandate to search and head-hunt eligible individuals.
- After interviewing, the Committee will recommend a panel of three suitable candidates to the Provincial Government, which will then recommend one candidate to the Chancellor for approval.
- The Higher Education Department reserves the right to change the number of vacancies.

- Tenure: Three years (renewable) as per the provisions of the Act.
