Qualifications and Experience Required for the Positions at Pak Army:
Qualifications:
- Education: You must be in the 4th or final year of MBBS from a PMC/PMDC recognized medical college.
- Age: You should be between 20 to 26 years old as of August 4, 2024.
- Gender: Only male candidates can apply.
- Marital Status: You must be unmarried.
- Nationality: You should be a citizen of Pakistan, including those from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. If you have dual nationality, you’ll need to give up your other nationality if selected.
Experience:
No prior work experience is required. You will continue your medical studies and receive training after being selected.
Physical Requirements:
- Height: At least 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm)
- Weight: Should match your height according to the Body Mass Index (BMI).
Who Can’t Apply?
You are not eligible if:
- You have been rejected twice by ISSB for postgraduate or intermediate/graduate entry.
- You were not recommended twice for ‘M’ Cadet by GHQ/AHQ/NHQ.
- You were screened out twice by ISSB.
- You were dismissed or removed from any government job, including the Armed Forces.
- You have been convicted of a serious crime.
- You are declared unfit due to medical reasons, especially if you have Hepatitis B or C.
- You were withdrawn from any Armed Forces institution due to disciplinary issues.
- You resigned or were discharged from any Armed Forces Academy.
What Do You Get?
- Monthly Stipend: You will receive Rs 18,583 per month.
- Reimbursement: Once you are a Captain, you can get up to Rs 222,996 per year for medical education expenses.
- Career Growth: You will continue your medical studies. After completing your MBBS, you will get basic military training and then become a Captain in the Army Medical Corps.

- Registration: You can register online at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk or visit the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).
- Documents Needed:
- Two copies of educational and domicile certificates.
- Two copies of your CNIC or Form ‘B’ and your next of kin’s CNIC.
- Four passport-size photos.
- A pay order/banker’s cheque of Rs 1500 in favor of Medical Directorate GHQ Rawalpindi.
- Physical Test Requirements:
- Run 1.6 km in 8 minutes.
- 15 push-ups in 2 minutes.
- 15 sit-ups in 2 minutes.
- 3 chin-ups in 2 minutes.
- Ditch crossing (7.4″ x 7″ with a depth of 4 feet).
- Medical Test: An initial medical test will be conducted at AS&RCs.
Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for intelligence/personality tests and interviews by GHQ Selection Board.
- Final selection will be based on your performance in tests and interviews.
- Selected candidates will undergo 22 weeks of Basic Military Training at Pakistan Military Academy, Abbottabad.
