Qualifications and Experience Required for the Positions at Dasu Hydropower Consultants DHS:
1. Junior Contract Engineer
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
- Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in hydropower projects, with 2 years focused on contract management or administration. A strong understanding of FIDIC Red/Pink Book is essential.
- Skills: Proficient in managing contract claims, handling variations, processing Contractor’s Interim Payment Applications (IPAs), and preparing financial documents like Price Adjustments and commercial proposals.
2. Junior Procurement Engineer (Civil)
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by the PEC.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in procurement. Familiarity with guidelines from multilateral development banks (MDB), as well as PPRA and PEC rules, is required.
- Skills: Strong ability to create bidding documents, set qualification criteria, evaluate bids, and handle contract discussions. Must be capable of managing procurement processes independently, following MDB guidelines.
3. Junior Site Engineer (Intake Power Tunnels)
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by the PEC.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction, preferably involving tunnel work on hydropower projects.
- Skills: Good knowledge of underground construction techniques, materials, and equipment. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to ensure site safety and manage risk.
Additional Information:
- Language and Computer Skills: Excellent English communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in using MS Office programs.
- Relevant Experience: While not mandatory, having experience working on hydropower projects is highly desirable.
